Widget data and caching
Section titled “Widget data and caching”Widget data is cached in the WordPress object cache with a one-hour expiry, keyed by widget settings. On a site without a persistent object cache the query runs on each page load; with Redis or Memcached, results are served from cache between expiries. Different instances of the same widget with different time periods each keep an independent cache.
Placing widgets
Section titled “Placing widgets”- Go to Appearance > Widgets.
- Find the widget by name (search for “Reactions”).
- Drag it into a sidebar or widget area.
