Once the plugin BuddyPress Create Group Type is installed on your website, You can access its settings by navigating to WB Plugins > Group Type Settings > General
Enable Group Type Search
This setting allows you to enable group-type searching on BuddyPress Group Directory.
Search Box: You can search the group by typing the group name in search textbox.
Select box: You can filter out the groups of the same group types.
