Before installing WB Member Blog, make sure your site meets these requirements:

WB Member Blog integrates with these platforms but doesn’t require them:
- BuddyPress (latest version)
- BuddyBoss Platform (latest version)

- Standalone Mode – Works without any community plugin
Installation Methods
Method 1: From WordPress Admin (Easiest)
- Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard
- Go to Plugins → Add New
- Search for “WB Member Blog”
- Click Install Now
- After installation, click Activate
Method 2: Upload ZIP File
- Download the plugin ZIP file from WordPress.org or your purchase
- Go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin
- Click Choose File and select the ZIP
- Click Install Now
- Click Activate Plugin
Method 3: FTP Upload
- Extract the plugin ZIP file on your computer
- Connect to your server via FTP
- Upload the
buddypress-member-blogfolder to/wp-content/plugins/ - Go to Plugins in WordPress admin
- Find “WB Member Blog” and click Activate
After Activation
Once activated, you’ll see a new Member Blog menu item in your WordPress admin. The plugin will:
- Automatically detect your community platform (BuddyPress, BuddyBoss, PeepSo, or Standalone)
- Add a Blog tab to member profiles (if using a community plugin)
- Enable default settings for quick start
Verifying Installation
To confirm WB Member Blog is working:
- Go to Member Blog → Overview in your admin
- Check that the status shows “Active”
- Note which platform is detected
- If using BuddyPress/BuddyBoss, visit a member profile to see the Blog tab

Common Installation Issues
“Plugin could not be activated”
Usually caused by PHP version mismatch. Check that your server runs PHP 7.4 or higher.
“Fatal error” after activation
May indicate a plugin conflict. Try deactivating other plugins temporarily and reactivating WB Member Blog.
Blog tab not appearing
Clear any caching (plugin, server, browser) and flush permalinks at Settings → Permalinks → Save Changes.
