Use Cases
Community News Group
Feature important announcements so members always see them first when visiting the group.
Course/Learning Groups
Instructors can feature exemplary student work to inspire others, or pin course materials and assignments.
Support/Help Groups
Feature FAQ posts or getting-started guides so new members find help immediately.
Contest/Challenge Groups
Feature contest rules initially, then feature winning entries when the contest ends.
Tips and Best Practices
- Don’t over-feature – Too many featured posts reduces their impact. Stick to 2-3 maximum.
- Rotate featured content – Periodically review and update which posts are featured.
- Use for timely content – Feature event announcements before the event, then unfeature after.
- Combine with announcements – For critical updates, also post in the group activity for immediate visibility.
