Learn how to create and publish your first ad using WB Ad Manager. This guide covers the essential steps to get an ad live on your site.
Quick Start
- Go to WB Ad Manager → Add New
- Enter a title for your ad (internal use only)
- Select an ad type (Image, Code, Rich Content, or AdSense)
- Add your ad content
- Choose where to display it (placements)
- Click Publish

Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Access the Ad Editor
From your WordPress dashboard, navigate to WB Ad Manager → Add New. This opens the ad creation screen.
Step 2: Enter Ad Details
Title: Give your ad a descriptive name. This is for your reference only and won’t be shown to visitors. Example: “Holiday Sale Banner – Sidebar”
Step 3: Select Ad Type
Choose the type of ad you want to create:
- Image Ad – Upload a banner image with a click-through URL
- Rich Content – Create custom HTML using the WordPress editor
- Code/HTML – Paste ad network code or custom scripts
- Google AdSense – Display AdSense ads with automatic script management
Step 4: Add Your Content
Based on your selected ad type:
For Image Ads:
- Click Upload Image or select from Media Library
- Enter the Destination URL (where clicks go)
- Add Alt Text for accessibility
- Choose whether to open links in a new tab
For Code Ads:
- Paste your ad network code in the code editor
- The code will be rendered exactly as provided
Step 5: Choose Placements
In the Placements metabox, select where your ad should appear:
- Header – Top of every page
- Footer – Bottom of every page
- Before Content – Before post/page content
- After Content – After post/page content
- After Paragraph X – Within content at specific paragraph
- Popup – Modal overlay with trigger options
- Sticky – Fixed position bar
Step 6: Configure Display Rules (Optional)
Fine-tune where your ad appears using display rules:
- Show on all pages or specific pages only
- Target specific post types or categories
- Exclude certain pages from showing the ad
Step 7: Publish
Click the Publish button to make your ad live. Visit your site to see it in action!

- Test first – Use a staging site or test with admin-only visibility
- Optimize images – Compress banner images for faster loading
- Track performance – Check impressions and clicks in the ad list
- A/B test – Create multiple versions to find what works best
