WB Ad Manager supports four different ad types, each designed for specific use cases. This guide explains each type and when to use it.

Image Ad

Image ads are the most common type, perfect for displaying banner graphics with click-through links.

Image Upload or select from Media Library
Destination URL Where users go when clicking the ad
Alt Text Image description for accessibility and SEO
Open in New Tab Whether to open link in a new browser tab
Size Original, responsive, or custom dimensions

Tips

  • Use optimized images (WebP format recommended)
  • Common banner sizes: 728×90, 300×250, 160×600
  • Always include descriptive alt text

Rich Content Ad

Rich content ads use the WordPress block editor, allowing you to create custom HTML content with full styling control.

  • Native advertisements that match your site design
  • Text-based promotions with formatting
  • Content recommendations
  • Custom styled announcements

Code/HTML Ad

Code ads allow you to paste raw HTML, JavaScript, or third-party ad network code directly.

Security Note

Only use code from trusted sources. The plugin renders code exactly as provided, so malicious scripts could affect your site or visitors.

Google AdSense Ad

Native AdSense integration with automatic script management. The AdSense script loads only once per page regardless of how many AdSense ads you display.

Ad Unit ID Your AdSense ad slot ID
Format Auto, horizontal, vertical, or rectangle
Responsive Enable responsive sizing

Setup Requirements

  1. Configure your Publisher ID in WB Ad Manager → Settings → AdSense
  2. Create ad units in your Google AdSense dashboard
  3. Use the Ad Unit ID when creating AdSense ads
