Submitting Your First Ad

Get Started

Advertisers can submit ads directly from their dashboard without any admin involvement. Ads go through an approval process before they appear on the site. This self-serve workflow means less work for you and faster turnaround for your advertisers.

Before You Start

Make sure you have:

  • [ ] An active advertiser account (registered and approved)
  • [ ] Funds in your wallet if the site requires pre-payment
  • [ ] Your ad creative ready (image, text, or HTML code)
  • [ ] The destination URL where you want clicks to go

Step 1: Open the Ad Submission Form

  1. Log in and go to your Advertiser Dashboard
  2. Click the My Ads tab
  3. Click Create New Ad

You can also click Create New Ad from the Overview tab’s quick actions.

Step 2: Choose Your Ad Type

Type Best For What You Need
Image Banner ads, visual promotions Image file (JPG, PNG, or GIF)
Text Simple text links, sponsor mentions Headline + description
HTML Third-party ad codes, rich media HTML or JavaScript snippet

Image ads typically get more engagement than text ads.

Step 3: Enter Your Ad Details

For Image Ads

  1. Click Upload Image and select your banner file
  2. Common sizes: 300×250, 728×90, 160×600
  3. Maximum file size varies by site (usually 500KB)
  4. Animated GIFs are generally supported
  5. Enter the Destination URL — where users go when they click the ad (must start with https://)
  6. Enter Alt Text — a short description for accessibility

For Text Ads

  1. Enter a Headline — the main clickable text (keep it under 25 characters)
  2. Enter a Description — supporting text with a call-to-action (under 90 characters)
  3. Enter a Destination URL

For HTML Ads

  1. Paste your Ad Code into the HTML field
  2. Upload a Fallback Image — shown if the code fails to load

Step 4: Set Your Schedule

  1. Start Date — when the ad begins showing. Can be today or a future date.
  2. End Date — when the ad stops. Leave blank for no end date.

Step 5: Select a Package (if applicable)

If the site uses ad packages, choose the one that fits your budget and goals. Packages determine pricing (flat rate, CPM, or CPC) and the ad zones your ad can appear in.

Step 6: Review and Submit

  1. Review all your ad details and the cost preview
  2. Accept the site’s advertising terms if prompted
  3. Click Submit for Review

What Happens Next

After you submit, your ad enters the review queue.

  1. Submitted — your ad is waiting for the admin to review it
  2. Under Review — the admin is checking your ad
  3. Decision — you’ll receive an email when it’s approved or rejected

Typical review time is 1-2 business days, though it varies by site.

If Your Ad is Approved

Your ad goes live on its scheduled start date. Charges begin when the ad starts running. You can track performance in your Analytics tab.

If Your Ad is Rejected

You’ll receive an email with the rejection reason. Edit your ad to fix the issue and resubmit.

Common rejection reasons:

Reason How to Fix
Image file too large Compress or resize your image before re-uploading
Invalid destination URL Test your link in a browser to confirm it works
Prohibited content Review the site’s advertising guidelines
Low-quality image Use a higher resolution or cleaner design
Missing required fields Fill in all fields marked as required

Managing Your Active Ads

Once your ad is live, you can manage it from the My Ads tab:

Action How
Edit Click the ad title. Note: editing a live ad may require re-approval.
Pause Click Pause to temporarily stop the ad. No charges while paused.
Resume Click Resume to restart a paused ad.
Delete Removes the ad permanently. This cannot be undone.
