Get your advertising platform ready in 15 minutes. Follow these steps after installing both plugins.
Choose Your Use Case
WB Ad Manager Pro supports three main configurations. Pick what fits your site best.
| Use Case | Enable These Modules |
|---|---|
| Sell Ad Space | Advertisers, Campaigns, Wallet |
| Classifieds Marketplace | Classifieds |
| Full Platform | All modules |
Start simple. You can always enable more modules later.
Step 1: Enable Modules
- Go to WB Ad Manager → Pro Settings → Modules
- Toggle on the modules you need:
| Module | What It Does |
|---|---|
| Advertiser Portal | Self-service dashboard for advertisers |
| Campaigns | Budget-based campaign management |
| Wallet System | Prepaid balance and payment processing |
| A/B Testing | Split-test ad creatives |
| Share of Voice | Impression share tracking per advertiser |
| Classifieds | Buy/sell marketplace with listings |
| Link Partnerships | Link request management |
- Click Save Changes

Step 2: Create Required Pages
Each feature needs a WordPress page with a specific shortcode. The setup wizard creates these automatically — but if you skipped it, create them manually.
Ad Selling Pages
| Page Title | Shortcode to Add | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Advertiser Dashboard | [wbam_advertiser_dashboard] |
Main portal for advertisers |
| Submit Ad | [wbam_submit_ad] |
Ad submission form |
Classifieds Pages (if enabled)
| Page Title | Shortcode to Add | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Browse Classifieds | [wbam_browse_classifieds] |

| Submit Classified | [wbam_submit_classified] |

| My Classifieds | [wbam_my_classifieds] |
Seller’s listings management |
Create each page in Pages → Add New, paste the shortcode into the page content, and publish.
Step 3: Configure Page URLs
Tell the plugin which WordPress pages to use for each function.
- Go to WB Ad Manager → Pro Settings → Pages
- Select the pages you created from each dropdown
- Click Save Changes

Step 4: Set Up Payments
If you want advertisers to pay for ad space, configure at least one payment gateway.
- Go to WB Ad Manager → Pro Settings → Payments
- Enable your preferred gateway (Stripe is recommended)
- Enter your API credentials
- Click Save Changes
See Payment Configuration for full setup instructions for each gateway.
Step 5: Configure Email Notifications
Keep advertisers informed automatically.
- Go to WB Ad Manager → Pro Settings → Emails
- Enable the notifications you want:
| Notification | Sent To |
|---|---|
| New advertiser registered | Admin |
| Ad submitted | Admin |
| Ad approved | Advertiser |
| Ad rejected | Advertiser |
| Payment received | Admin + Advertiser |
| Low wallet balance | Advertiser |
- Click Save Changes
Step 6: Set Your Approval Workflow
- Go to WB Ad Manager → Pro Settings → General
- Set Default Ad Status to either:
- Pending review — you approve every ad before it goes live
- Auto-approve — ads go live immediately on submission
- Click Save Changes
Go-Live Checklist
Before opening to advertisers, verify:
- [ ] Both plugins are active (Free and Pro)
- [ ] License is activated and shows Active
- [ ] Required pages are created and published
- [ ] Page URLs are configured in Pro Settings → Pages
- [ ] At least one payment gateway is configured and tested
- [ ] Email notifications are working (send a test)

Common Setup Problems
Pages show “Page not found”
Flush your permalink structure: go to Settings → Permalinks and click Save Changes without changing anything. This regenerates the rewrite rules.
Payments not processing
Confirm you’re using the correct API keys (live keys for a live site, test keys for testing). Also verify your site uses HTTPS — Stripe and PayPal require it.
Emails not arriving
Test your WordPress mail delivery with a plugin like WP Mail SMTP. Check your spam folder before troubleshooting further.
