LearnDash LMS Integration

Overview

LearnDash Dashboard is built on top of LearnDash LMS. You must have LearnDash installed and active for the dashboard to work. Everything your students and instructors see — courses, lessons, quizzes, progress, certificates — comes directly from LearnDash.

What the Dashboard Can Manage

LearnDash Dashboard gives instructors and administrators a front-end interface for all LearnDash content:

Content TypeWhat You Can Do
CoursesCreate, edit, clone, and manage courses
LessonsAdd lessons, set drip schedules, manage content
TopicsCreate topics within lessons, set drip schedules
QuizzesBuild and manage quizzes, view quiz reports
QuestionsCreate and edit quiz questions
CertificatesManage certificate templates
AssignmentsReview and approve student assignment submissions
GroupsManage groups, enrollment codes, and group members

Enrollment and Student Access

When a student gains or loses access to a course, the dashboard updates automatically. You do not need to refresh or manually sync anything.

Group-based enrollment is also fully supported. When a student joins a group, they get access to all courses assigned to that group — no individual course enrollment needed.

Progress Tracking

The dashboard pulls student progress from LearnDash in real time. Instructors can see:

  • Which lessons and topics a student has completed
  • Quiz scores and attempt history
  • Assignment submissions and approval status
  • Overall course completion rates

Progress statistics on the dashboard home refresh automatically throughout the day. If you need the latest numbers right away after a large update, you can manually refresh stats from the admin settings.

Drip Content

If you use LearnDash’s drip scheduling to release lessons and topics over time, instructors can view and edit those schedules directly from the dashboard. No need to go into the WordPress admin area to adjust drip settings.

Group Management

Group leaders see only the groups they manage. The dashboard scopes all group data — students, courses, progress, and enrollment codes — to the groups that group leader is responsible for.

Administrators can see and manage all groups on the site.

Course Builder

Instructors can build complete courses from the dashboard without ever entering the WordPress admin area. The built-in course builder lets you:

  1. Create a new course
  2. Add lessons and topics in the desired order
  3. Attach quizzes to lessons or topics
  4. Publish when ready

You can also clone an existing course — useful for reusing a course structure for a new cohort or semester.

Instructor Roles

The dashboard recognises two instructor-level roles:

  • Instructor — Can create and manage their own courses, view reports for their students, and communicate with enrolled students.
  • Group Leader — Can manage their assigned groups, enroll students, and view group-level reports.

Administrators have full access to all content and all students across the site.
