Design & Appearance
Design Settings controls the colors used throughout the LearnDash Dashboard. Choose a ready-made color preset or build your own custom palette to match your brand.
How to access: Go to WordPress Admin > LearnDash Dashboard > Design.
How It Works
- The settings page shows a row of color presets as clickable swatches
- Click a preset to apply it — all five color slots update to match
- Choose Custom to set each color individually using color pickers
- Click Save Changes to apply your palette to the frontend
Changes appear on your site immediately after saving.
Choosing a Color Preset
The Choose Preset Colors panel displays all available built-in palettes. Each preset shows five color samples representing the five color roles used across the dashboard.
Click any preset to auto-fill all five color slots with that palette’s values. Click Custom to switch back to your own manually chosen colors.
Building a Custom Palette
When Custom is selected, five color pickers become available. Each one controls a specific visual role across the dashboard:
| Color slot | Used for |
|---|---|
| Primary | Buttons, active tab highlights, links, and accent colors |
| Hover | Button and link colors when you hover over them |
| Text | Body text, labels, and descriptions |
| Background | Dashboard background and card backgrounds |
| Border | Card borders, dividers, and input field borders |
Click any color swatch to open the color picker and select your desired color.
Applying and Resetting
- Click Save Changes to apply the selected palette to your dashboard
- Click Reset Settings to restore the default color palette
