Overview Dashboard
The Overview Dashboard is your main hub for viewing community statistics. Access it at WB Plugins > Statistics > Overview.
Dashboard Sections
Summary Cards
Four cards at the top display key metrics:
Total Members – Current count of registered users and growth compared to previous period.
Active Users – Members who logged in during selected period. Daily, weekly, and monthly counts available.
Total Activities – All community interactions including posts, comments, group activity, etc.
Active Groups – Groups with recent activity and member count totals.
Active Users Chart
Bar chart showing user activity over time. Use the dropdown to switch between Monthly view and Weekly view.
Newly Registered Users
Bar chart tracking new member sign-ups over your selected time period.
Top Groups
Displays your most popular groups ranked by member count.
Using Date Filters
Date Range Selector
Filter data by time period:
- Last 7 days
- Last 30 days
- Last 3 months
- Custom date range
Applying Filters
- Select your desired date range from the dropdown
- Click Apply (or the charts auto-update)
- All metrics refresh to show the selected period
Interpreting the Data
Healthy Community Benchmarks

Warning Signs
Watch for these patterns:
- Active users below 20% of total members
- Declining trend over multiple weeks
- No new registrations for extended periods
- Decreasing activity despite member growth
Positive Indicators
- Steady or increasing active user percentage
- Consistent new member registrations
- Growing activity volume
- High engagement in groups

Performance Notes
Caching
- Dashboard data uses transient caching
- First load may be slower while cache builds
- Subsequent loads are faster
- Cache refreshes automatically with new activity
Large Communities
For communities with 10,000+ users:
- Queries are optimized for performance
- Consider reducing data retention period
- Enable caching in General Settings
- Dashboard may take 2-3 seconds on first load
Troubleshooting
Charts show no data – Verify users have been active since plugin activation. Check that BuddyPress/BuddyBoss is active. Allow 24 hours for data to accumulate.
Numbers seem incorrect – Clear WordPress transient cache. Check date range selection. Verify no caching plugins are serving stale data.
Page loads slowly – Enable caching in General Settings. Reduce data retention period. Check server resources.
