Activity & Engagement


The Activity & Engagement page provides detailed graphs showing how members interact with your community over time. Access it at WB Plugins > Statistics > Activity & Engagement.
Engagement Graph
Overview
The main engagement graph visualizes member activity patterns:
- X-axis: Time period (days, weeks, or months)
- Y-axis: Activity count
- Multiple data series for different activity types
Chart Type Selection
Switch between chart types using the dropdown:
- Bar Chart: Compare discrete time periods
- Line Chart: Visualize trends over time
- Area Chart: Show cumulative activity
Activity Type Filter
Filter the graph by activity type:
- All Activities
- Posts/Updates
- Comments
- Group Activity
- Friend Connections
Date Range Controls
Period Selection
Choose the time range to display:

Custom Date Range
- Click “Custom” in the period dropdown
- Select start and end dates
- Click Apply to refresh the graph
Group Engagement
Group Filter
Select a specific group to view its engagement metrics:
- Use the group dropdown to select a group
- Graph updates to show only that group’s activity
- Compare engagement across different groups
Group Comparison
View how different groups perform:
- Most active groups
- Groups with declining engagement
- Groups with growing participation
Engagement Metrics
Activity Volume
Total number of activities in the selected period:
- Posts and updates
- Comments and replies
- Group posts
- Friend activities
Activity Types Breakdown
Pie chart showing distribution of activity types:

Peak Activity Times
Identify when your community is most active:
- Day of week analysis
- Time of day patterns
- Seasonal trends
Reading the Graphs
Positive Trends
Look for upward slope in line charts, increasing bar heights over time, and growing activity diversity.
Warning Signs
Watch for declining activity over 3+ weeks, single activity types dominating, and sharp drops in engagement.
Seasonal Patterns
Consider natural variations: weekday vs. weekend activity, holiday periods, back-to-school/summer patterns.
Export Options
Download Data
Click the export button to download CSV format for spreadsheet analysis with all activity types included.
Large Datasets
For datasets over 10,000 records, export runs in background with download link provided when ready.
Performance
Charts use Chart.js for responsive rendering. Large datasets may take 1-2 seconds to render. Data reflects activities recorded since plugin activation.
