Auto-Moderation Settings

Auto-Moderation allows you to automatically hide or take action on content when it reaches a certain number of reports. This reduces admin workload by handling frequently-reported content automatically.

Configuration Options

Enable Auto-Moderation

Toggle auto-moderation on/off for each content type:

  • Activities
  • Activity Comments
  • Members
  • Groups
  • Private Messages
  • Forum Topics
  • Forum Replies

Moderation Threshold

Set the number of reports required before automatic action is taken. For example, if set to 3, content will be auto-hidden after receiving 3 reports.

Auto-Action Options

  • Hide Content: Make content invisible to non-admins
  • Mark as Spam: Move to spam folder automatically
  • Notify Admin: Send alert when threshold reached

Best Practices

  • Start with a higher threshold (5+) and lower based on abuse patterns
  • Enable admin notifications for auto-moderated content
  • Regularly review auto-hidden content to adjust settings
  • Consider different thresholds for different content types
