Common Issues
Reports not appearing
Possible causes:
- Content type not enabled in settings
- User permissions issue
- Plugin cache needs clearing
Solution:
- Navigate to WB Plugins → Moderation Pro → General
- Ensure content type is checked
- Save settings
- Clear site cache
- Test reporting as a member
Auto-moderation not working
Symptoms: Content not hiding after reaching threshold
Solution:
- Check WB Plugins → Moderation Pro → Restrictions
- Verify auto-moderation is enabled
- Check threshold number
- Test by creating multiple reports
- Check if content is hidden
Avatars stuck in pending
Symptoms: Avatars show as pending even after approval
Solution:
- Navigate to Avatar Mods
- Find the avatar
- Click “Edit”
- In Avatar Moderation metabox, click “Approve Avatar”
- Check user profile to confirm
Email notifications not sending
Possible causes:
- WordPress email not configured
- Notification settings disabled
- Recipient email incorrect
Solution:
- Test WordPress email – Install “WP Mail SMTP” plugin and configure SMTP settings
- Check WB Plugins → Moderation Pro → Avatar Moderation
- Verify notification checkboxes are enabled
- Verify recipient email is correct
- Check spam folder
Users can’t submit reports
Possible causes:
- JavaScript error on page
- AJAX nonce issue
- Permission restrictions
- Plugin conflict
Solution:
- Check browser console for errors (F12)
- Disable other plugins temporarily
- Test with default WordPress theme
- Clear browser cache
- Check if user is logged in (anonymous reports may be disabled)
Suspended column not showing
Symptoms: User list doesn’t show suspension status
Solution:
- Click “Screen Options” at top-right of Users page
- Ensure “Suspended” is checked
- Click outside to close
- Column should appear
Badge counts incorrect
Symptoms: Menu badge shows wrong number
Solution:
- Navigate to the screen (Reported Content or Avatar Mods)
- Badge should update automatically
- If still wrong, clear cache and refresh
