Common Issues

Reports not appearing

Possible causes:

  1. Content type not enabled in settings
  2. User permissions issue
  3. Plugin cache needs clearing

Solution:

  1. Navigate to WB Plugins → Moderation Pro → General
  2. Ensure content type is checked
  3. Save settings
  4. Clear site cache
  5. Test reporting as a member

Auto-moderation not working

Symptoms: Content not hiding after reaching threshold

Solution:

  1. Check WB Plugins → Moderation Pro → Restrictions
  2. Verify auto-moderation is enabled
  3. Check threshold number
  4. Test by creating multiple reports
  5. Check if content is hidden

Avatars stuck in pending

Symptoms: Avatars show as pending even after approval

Solution:

  1. Navigate to Avatar Mods
  2. Find the avatar
  3. Click “Edit”
  4. In Avatar Moderation metabox, click “Approve Avatar”
  5. Check user profile to confirm

Email notifications not sending

Possible causes:

  1. WordPress email not configured
  2. Notification settings disabled
  3. Recipient email incorrect

Solution:

  1. Test WordPress email – Install “WP Mail SMTP” plugin and configure SMTP settings
  2. Check WB Plugins → Moderation Pro → Avatar Moderation
  3. Verify notification checkboxes are enabled
  4. Verify recipient email is correct
  5. Check spam folder

Users can’t submit reports

Possible causes:

  1. JavaScript error on page
  2. AJAX nonce issue
  3. Permission restrictions
  4. Plugin conflict

Solution:

  1. Check browser console for errors (F12)
  2. Disable other plugins temporarily
  3. Test with default WordPress theme
  4. Clear browser cache
  5. Check if user is logged in (anonymous reports may be disabled)

Suspended column not showing

Symptoms: User list doesn’t show suspension status

Solution:

  1. Click “Screen Options” at top-right of Users page
  2. Ensure “Suspended” is checked
  3. Click outside to close
  4. Column should appear

Badge counts incorrect

Symptoms: Menu badge shows wrong number

Solution:

  1. Navigate to the screen (Reported Content or Avatar Mods)
  2. Badge should update automatically
  3. If still wrong, clear cache and refresh
