Activity Moderation
What is Activity Moderation?
Activity Moderation allows community members to report inappropriate activity updates in your BuddyPress community. This feature provides a Flag/Unflag button on each activity post, enabling members to notify site administrators about content that violates community guidelines.
Why Do You Need This?
For Site Administrators:
- Crowd-sourced moderation: Let your community help identify problematic content
- Faster response: Quickly identify and address inappropriate content
- Reduced workload: Focus on reviewing flagged content instead of monitoring all activities
- Better community health: Empower members to maintain community standards
For Community Members:
- Voice concerns: Easily report content that violates guidelines
- Safer community: Help maintain a positive environment for everyone
- Quick action: Simple one-click flagging process
How It Works
Flagging an Activity Update
- Locate the Flag Button – Browse your activity stream and look for the “Flag” button below each activity
- Report the Activity – Click Flag, select a reason, and submit
- Confirmation – You’ll see a success message and the button changes to “Unflag”
