To customize the functionality of the BuddyPress Edit Activity plugin, site administrators can easily configure the settings by following these steps:
- Access the Settings: Navigate to your WordPress Dashboard.
- Go to BuddyPress Options: Click on Settings in the left sidebar, then select BuddyPress and click on Options.
- In the Activity Streams section, administrators will find options to manage the edit activity feature
- Enable/Disable Edit Activity: Here, you can enable or disable the edit activity option for users. If enabled, users will see the “Edit Activity” button next to their posts, allowing them to modify their content as needed.
Setting the Editing Duration
Administrators can also specify how long users can edit their activities by selecting a duration from the following options:
- Forever: Users can edit their activities indefinitely.
- 7 Days: Users have a week to make edits.
- 30 Days: Users can edit their activities for up to a month.
- 1 Day: Users have a full day to make changes.
- 1 Hour: Users can edit their posts within one hour of posting.
- 10 Minutes: Users have a brief window of ten minutes to make edits.
