This feature allows you to enable activity posting for specific Post Types within your BuddyPress site.
This means that when certain post types (like blog posts, custom post types, or product updates) are created, they can automatically generate activity entries in the BuddyPress activity feed.
These options can be accessed by navigating to the WB Plugins > Activity Filter > CPT Activity
Here’s how it works:
- Post Type: This refers to the type of content on your site (e.g., blog posts, products, or custom content types).
- Enable/Disable: You can choose whether to enable or disable activity generation for each specific post type. If enabled, activities related to that post type will appear in the BuddyPress activity feed.
- Name for Activities: This allows you to customize the label or description that will be shown in the activity feed for each post type. For instance, you can choose how the activity related to a blog post or product update is displayed to users in the feed.
This feature gives you control over which content types appear in the activity stream and how they are labeled, helping keep the feed relevant and engaging.
Advantage
- Enhanced Content Visibility: Automatically post updates related to specific post types (e.g., blog posts, products) in the activity feed, boosting visibility for important content.
- Improved Community Engagement: By integrating post updates into the activity stream, users are more likely to interact with new content directly from the activity feed, increasing engagement.
- Branding and Clarity: Customizing the name for activities allows you to present post types with clear and engaging labels, making it easier for users to understand and interact with new content.
- Seamless Content Management: With automatic updates tied to post types, admins don’t need to manually share or promote new posts, saving time and effort while keeping the community informed.
